The Liebster Award

I am incredibly honored (and totally blushing as I write this) to say that Jessica from Semi- Sweet Tooth, has nominated me for a Liebster Award. I had no idea this award existed, but this award is a way to honor blogs that you believe are on the right path that fave 500 followers or less. You then link back to the blog that nominated you as a way to thank them and then answer the questions they have provided for you. Next you pass the award onto 10 other bloggers you think should be nominated! Such a great way to find new blogs and meet new people!

1. What encouraged you to start a blog?

I have always been interested in blogging, I was just too chicken to try it. I finally decided to try it and have fun with it! I love fashion and wanted to show case my personal style as well as other things I love.

2. What is your favorite part about blogging?

So far my favorite part is meeting people through comments and finding other blogs and networking. I think it’s so much fun!

3. What is the meaning behind your blog name?

I chose The Blushing Dahlia because I love the color of blush pink and blush is my absolute favorite makeup product. The dahlia part comes from it being the official flower of San Francisco, where I am from.

4. What is one thing you miss from your childhood?

I work full time as a preschool teacher, which I think allows me to relive childhood, if that makes sense. One thing I miss from my childhood is definitely the excitement of everything! Children are just so happy and excited for even the littlest things, I love it!

5. Do you prefer coffee or tea?

Most of the time I drink tea, especially green tea. Occasionally I will go for an iced latte.

6. What is something that is an important part of your morning routine?

One of the first things I do when I wake up, is take my dog Jax, on a morning walk. Not only does it wake me up, but it is refreshing and a great way to start the morning!

7. What is your favorite clothing item?

Hands down shoes. I love shoes! I’m a shoe addict! My close second is jeans since you can never have enough.

8. What is your favorite season?

It’s a toss up between summer and fall. I love summer because it’s great weather, lot’s of vacations and lounging by the pool. Fall is beautiful and the weather is still fairly warm.

9. If you could take a weekend trip somewhere, where would it be?

This may be the inner child in me talking, but I would go to Disneyland! I love that place!

10. Must have beauty product?

Blush! I love how blush can help awaken the face and give you that flushed look.
