CHOOSING AND STYLING A ROCKER TEE

Since I love wearing rocker tees and have made them a key component to my style, I thought I would explain my process to choosing and styling one. Let’s begin with how I pick a rocker tee. First thing I look for is a band I’m familiar with. I choose bands based on ones I actually listen to. I want to make sure I can name songs they sing and not mindlessly choose a rocker tee just because it’s in style. There are times I will turn down a rocker tee. If it’s a band that I’m not really into, then I don’t buy it. I also want to make sure it’s a logo I like. For example, this Guns N’ Roses tee, is a common logo seen for the band. However this logo isn’t as bright as the album cover version and looks worn down/faded. I like my tees to be a familiar logo, but with a twist. Now when it comes styling a rocker tee, I like to let the tee be the main attraction. I keep everything else simple. I tend to pair mine with jeans or denim skirts with booties or sneakers most of the time. Keeps the outfit very casual. However, they are very easy to dress up too. Throw on some heels and statement jewelry to transform the look instantly. I think I gravitate towards rocker tees because it gives off a cool, easy-going vibe, which is my style.
