TOP KNOT HOW TO

I finally have a small tutorial for my top knot. I tend to do this hairstyle a lot since I prefer my hair out of my face. It comes out a little different every time, but I still love it. I have also gotten questions from friends and my sister’s friends on how I do it. This tutorial is especially for Maddie! You will need a hair tie, bobby pins and hair spray.

1. Start with day old hair. Dirty hair makes this top knot hold better. I also like to do mine the day after I curl it.

2. Pull all your hair into a pony tail, but don’t secure it, just hold it.

3. Start to wrap the hair tie around the pony tail,   but never actually pull the hair all the way through.  You will just keep wrapping the hair tie around the hair. This will create the messy bun.

4. Once your hair tie is secure, start pinning any loose hairs with your bobby pins. I like to bring the bun together to make it round and to hide the hair tie.

This is it from the back. You can make it super high or low. This hairstyle is very easy to adjust.
