These basics are tried and true. Everyone has basics in their closet that never fail. I tend to wear a lot of black — my wardrobe consists of a lot of neutrals — it is an easy color and looks put together even if you aren’t. Black, white and shades of gray are my jam! The denim shirt not only acts as an extra layer when it gets chilly, but it also helps add some interest to the outfit. I have also been wearing sneakers a lot lately. Honestly, they are the most convenient shoe for me to wear with a baby. Don’t get me wrong, I love heels and what not, but I need to be practical. It’s just easier on my feet and perfect for taking the baby around town. This past weekend we went to the Aquarium by The Bay with one of Caden’s grandmothers. We did a ton of walking so sneakers were a must. Caden loved the aquarium! He loved seeing the fish and all the bubbles from the divers swimming in the tank. I highly recommend visiting the aquarium if you are ever in San Francisco. It’s a fun place to see the fish that live in the bay, but they also have beach clean-ups, animal conservation efforts and information about sustainable seafood to name a few. We also walked around Pier 39, which is a total tourist trap, but it’s still fun to go in all the little shops and see the sea lions. I know Caden had fun because he slept well after a busy, exciting day. I wore an outfit very similar to this one. It was perfect for exploring my city with my baby boy. What basics do you have on heavy rotation in your closet?
