BEST AT HOME WHITENING KIT
I am the type of person that is always smiling. I’ve always been that type of person. Lately I wasn’t too confident with my teeth. They have been very dull and off white. With work during the day and blogging at night, and being a full-time mom, there is no break. I’ve been drinking a lot more coffee then I ever used to. It’s really taken a toll on the color of my teeth. I haven’t been wearing bright lip colors as often because it really shows the true color of my teeth. As a fashion and beauty blogger, I want my smile to look wonderful and pop with bright-colored lipsticks.
I have tried other whitening strips and toothpaste, but to be honest, I hate the way the strips felt on my teeth. I also have sensitive teeth so after using a whitening strip, my teeth were sensitive even to the air. It made me really despise those things when it came time to whiten my teeth. I recently tried Smile Brilliant, an at home teeth whitening kit. It was so easy and a pleasant experience. I have made it a part of my beauty routine to keep my smile bright and to undo my bad coffee drinking habits. Below is a before and after photo!
First you receive a kit that contains the items needed to do your teeth impressions so your trays can be custom fitted to your smile. It also comes with the teeth whitening gel and desensitizing gel. To do your teeth impressions for your custom fitted teeth whitening trays you must mix the BASE and CATALYST pastes together in your hands. It’s kind of like mixing two playdough colors together. You mix them until you no longer see the white paste (it will be a bright blue color with no white marbling).
Once your paste is all mixed you place it in to the tray. There is enough to do the top and bottom teeth and an extra set of paste for a mistake. Make sure to work quickly because the paste will begin to dry. You place the paste into the tray and make sure it’s not too thin and evenly dispersed into all parts of the tray. Once you bite down, you wait at least 2 minutes and 30 seconds before removing it from your mouth. When you remove it, you will see your teeth impressions. Let the top and bottom impressions dry over night while still in the trays. If you remove them too early, it make mess up your impressions. Once they are dry you send them back in the prepaid envelope so the lab can proceed to me your fitted trays.
You will receive your custom fitted teeth whitening trays fairly quickly! When I received mine, I immediately tried them on and they fit perfectly. They didn’t bother my teeth at all! I always whiten my teeth at night, while my son is sleeping and I’m working on my blog. First you brush your teeth without toothpaste, just water and then dry your teeth. I apply a thin amount of the teeth whitening gel into my trays. Make sure you don’t put too much!! One package of either gels last about 3 times top and bottom, you don’t use the whole syringe at once. That’s too much! Then I leave the trays on for at least 40 minutes (you can wear them for up to 3 hours). The more I whitened the longer I left the trays on with the whitening gel.
After I remove the trays with whitening gel, I brush my teeth with toothpaste and rinse and dry my fitted trays. Next I apply the desensitizing gel into the tray. I wear my trays again for another 15-20 minutes. Then I spit out the remaining gel and do not rinse my mouth. You also should not eat for at least 30 minutes afterwards, so before bed is the perfect time! I really enjoyed the desensitizing gel because that was one of my biggest issues with other whitening strips. I hated that feeling that would last for at least a day or two. This helped so much! The next day, my teeth were completely normal and not sensitive at all! The perfect way to whiten sensitive teeth!
After my first use, I saw results and now I’m hooked! I want to keep my smile bright. I want to erase my new coffee addiction and wear my bright-colored lipsticks all day everyday!!
