Personalized everything is everywhere these days! I randomly saw this brand, function of beauty, on Instagram one day. They make personalized shampoo and conditioner. I immediately checked out their website and took the hair quiz. First, you determine your hair profile. I chose straightforward hair type, fine for hair structure and normal for scalp moisture. Then you must choose 5 hair goals. This can be difficult only because there are so many options, but you can only chose 5! I narrowed my hair goals down to lengthen, color protection, soothe scalp, strengthen and shine. It tells you the ingredients they use for each hair goal, so you know what’s going into your shampoo and conditioner. Next you choose the color of your shampoo and conditioner. You can choose from blue, orange, pink, green, and purple. The shampoo is kind of sparkly while the conditioner is more a pastel color. You can also opt for dye free! Once you have chosen the color you would like, you then choose the fragrance. The options are cucumber mint, essential oils, grapefruit hibiscus and sandalwood violet. You are also asked the fragrance strength—light, medium, strong. I chose grapefruit hibiscus and medium strength. Then you chose the name you would like printed on the bottle. Lastly you are asked to choose the size of your shampoo and conditioner. You can mix and match the sizing depending one how much you use and how often to wash your hair. There’s also the option to subscribe and receive your order every 1 month, 2 months or 3 months. Or you can order just once. You save 10% if you subscribe. Since its personalized it takes a few days before it ships because it’s customized. When I received it, I loved how simple the bottles were, but still gorgeous. I opened the bottles to smell the grapefruit hibiscus scent and it smells amazing!! I may up the strength of the fragrance next time. It also came with a personalized regimen based on my hair profile and hair goals. I’ve used this for about 6 hair washes, so I can’t speak for the effects of prolonged use—but my hair feels amazing! It feels really clean, cleaner then it has ever felt in the past. It also feels light in weight. I don’t feel like I have a ton of product weighing it down.
